Brooke Harper

Brooke Harper is a social justice leader and environmental advocate who currently serves as campaigns specialist for 350.org and as Maryland State Director for the Energy Foundation. She spent more than six years with Chesapeake Climate Action Network. During Brooke’s tenure, she served as the lead lobbyist for a new law, the Clean Energy Jobs Act, that doubled Maryland’s commitment to renewable energy. She led the successful campaign against the proposed Potomac Pipeline, which would have run through her hometown of Hagerstown, and played a leadership role in the Don’t Frack Maryland Campaign.
Brooke has also served as chair of the Maryland NAACP’s environmental justice committee and as an organizer with United Here/Local 7, Public Citizen, the Jubilee Network, MoveOn.org, and the Obama for America campaign, during which she coordinated voter registration and the GOTV program with the Florida Democratic Campaign for Change during the general election.
