Jaxon O’Mara is a sophomore studying political science at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. A graduate of Great Mills High School, she began working in the gun violence prevention space after the deadly shooting at her school. Jaxon served for two years as the March For Our Lives Maryland State Director and now serves as a policy advisor to the state legislative team. She has also interned with the Brady Campaign’s federal policy team.
Jaxon has helped lead rallies and die-ins, met with Gov. Hogan personally, and has advocated for an update to Maryland’s child access prevention law (CAP) and for more extensive background checks for gun purchases on the federal level.
