Sabina Taj is a dedicated advocate for public schools and has worked in education for more than a decade. She served for two years as an at-large member of the Howard County Public Schools Board of Education. Professionally, Ms. Taj helps cultivate the next generation of educators as Adjunct Professor at Howard Community College, where she teaches arts integration to future school teachers. Sabina also spearheads support for groundbreaking educational initiatives nationwide in her role as Advisor to the Braitmayer Foundation. She oversees an annual open invitation grant program that supports creative solutions in K-12 education, with a focus on curriculum development, professional development for educators, and school reform.
Ms. Taj served as a volunteer parent on the executive board of the Centennial Lane Elementary School PTA. One of the first tasks she took on in this role was to form the PTA’s first-ever committee focused on inclusion to ensure proper representation of all families in her daughter’s wonderfully diverse school. She is a former program officer at the Howard County Community Foundation and a proud graduate of Leadership Howard County. In her spare time, Ms. Taj is a painter.
